My Story

In my late forties, my health took a sharp decline. At 49, I was fifty pounds overweight, depressed, anxious, and relying on multiple prescription medications that only left me with harmful side effects and no real relief. I could not sleep, I was barely functioning, and I was told by doctors and other professionals ~ this was just apart of “aging” .

I had habits that helped me numb what I was feeling. For me, that included alcohol — but the real issue wasn’t the habit… it was what I was trying not to feel.

Deep down, I knew there had to be another way. I decided to take back my health. Step by step, I began walking, choosing real food instead of strict diets, and leaning into movement and mindfulness.

Over time, I lost fifty pounds and eliminated all medications. I quit drinking and began to heal from my past. I found being kind to myself as I went through my health journey was so important. Our emotions are stored in the body causing inflammation, weight gain, and depression. This was a huge step for me, finally looking inward.

That was more than fifteen years ago. Today, I live an active, healthy, and joyful lifestyle—and I use my experience to help others who want to change their unhealthy lifestyle habits.

I know how overwhelming change can feel—especially as we age, when so many things are shifting at once. Health, relationships, identity, loss… it can feel like the ground beneath you is changing. My approach is rooted in compassion, simplicity, and real-life experience.

My passion today is to help women who are going through difficult changes, emotional pain, numbness, and staying in unhealthy habits and relationships. We often find ourselves overgiving, neglecting our needs, and developing unhealthy coping habits, I was there, I know the pain and frustration. I found a way out and you can too.

I created Simplee Wellness out of my belief, that healing doesn’t happen in isolation, it happens in movement, in nature, and in a connected community.

We deserve to be happy, healthy and living a life full of joy, love and adventure.
