About Me
Karen Alexander ~ Health & Wellness Advocate
My passion is helping others discover their own strength, reclaim their health, and embrace a new chapter of life—one filled with vitality, joy, and purpose.
I was born in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I raised my two sons and owned a successful home renovation company. I’ve always loved the Bay Area’s beauty—its mountains, beaches, and sunshine-filled days.
My Journey to Wellness:
In my late forties, my health took a sharp decline. At 49, I was fifty pounds overweight, depressed, anxious, and relying on multiple prescription medications that only left me with harmful side effects and no real relief. I could not sleep, I was barely functioning, and I believed this was just “aging” and my life from then on.
But deep down, I knew there had to be another way. I decided to take back my health. Step by step, I began walking, choosing real food instead of strict diets, and leaning into movement and mindfulness. Over time, I lost fifty pounds, eliminated all medications, and discovered hiking as my passion.
That was more than fourteen years ago. Today, I live an active, healthy, and joyful lifestyle—and I use my experience to help others who want to change their unhealthy lifestyle habits.
Why I do this work
Simplee Wellness was born from a season of life when I realized I had spent years taking care of everyone else — while slowly losing touch with myself.
From the outside, everything looked fine. But inside, I felt disconnected from my body, my health, and my sense of joy. I knew something needed to change — not in a drastic, all-or-nothing way — but in a way that felt sustainable, gentle, and real.
I didn’t begin with a perfect plan. I began with small choices.
I started walking. I paid attention to what I was eating. I learned how to quiet my mind and listen to my body again. Over time, those simple steps led to profound change — I lost over 50 pounds, eliminated medications, recovered from alcoholism, and rediscovered a sense of strength and peace I hadn’t felt in years.
But the most important transformation wasn’t physical.
It was remembering that it’s never too late to begin again.
Simplee Wellness exists because I know how overwhelming change can feel — especially for women in midlife who are navigating transitions in health, identity, and purpose. My approach is rooted in compassion, simplicity, and lived experience, blending movement, nutrition, mindfulness, and time in nature to support whole-person wellness.
Today, I guide women who are ready for a new season — women who don’t want extremes or quick fixes, but a steady path back to themselves. Through guided hikes, wellness programs, and retreats, Simplee Wellness offers space to slow down, reconnect, and take meaningful steps toward health, happiness, and renewal.
You don’t have to change everything.
You just have to choose yourself — one step at a time.
