My Story
Born and raised in the Bay Area, I spent many years owning and operating a successful home renovation business, including work in Real Estate and Design.
My journey began early with a neighborhood paper route at the age of 12, and over the years I built a life centered around hard work, responsibility, and helping others create beautiful spaces to call home.
But like so many women, I spent years putting everything and everyone else first — rarely stopping to give my own health and wellness the care it truly deserved.
That eventually led me to a powerful realization: True wellness is not just about the home we live in, but the life we create within ourselves.
In my late forties, my health took a sharp decline. At 49, I was fifty pounds overweight, depressed, anxious, and relying on multiple prescription medications that only left me with harmful side effects and no real relief. I could not sleep, I was barely functioning, and I was told by doctors and other professionals ~ this was just apart of “aging” .
I had habits that helped me numb what I was feeling. For me, that included alcohol — but the real issue wasn’t the habit… it was what I was trying not to feel.
Deep down, I knew there had to be another way. I decided to take back my health. Step by step, I began walking, choosing real food instead of strict diets, and leaning into movement and mindfulness.
My Experience
Most wellness programs start with a plan.
Mine started with survival.
At 49 years old, my life fell apart.
My health, my marriage, my career, and my mental well-being.
I was 50 pounds overweight, on multiple medications, and drinking more than I should. I was stuck in a system that treated symptoms—but never asked why. Doctor visits became quick prescriptions. One pill after another. No one asked what was happening in my life.
And I stopped feeling like myself.
I was numb. Existing, not living.
And I was told this was normal… that this was aging.
That this was just how life would be now.
But it wasn’t.
After years of feeling trapped, I reached a breaking point.
I didn’t know how to change my life—and I didn’t believe I could.
The only thing that kept me here were my two sons.
They were 16 and 18, and we had already lost their father to alcoholism.
They were my reason to keep going.
My Transformation Didn’t Start with a Program
It started with a walk.
Out of sheer desperation to sleep, I began walking at night around my neighborhood. No plan. No goal. Just movement.
But something shifted.
The walking quieted my mind.
The movement released stress I didn’t even know I was carrying.
My body began to come out of constant fight, flight, and freeze.
For the first time in a long time… I could think clearly.
That simple step changed everything.
I didn’t follow a quick fix, or rely on willpower alone, I didn’t transform just my body—I transformed my entire life.
I Lost 50 pounds , naturally when I was in my fifties.
Eliminated all medications
Quit drinking Alcohol
Rebuilt my mental and emotional health
And most importantly… found myself again, Not just a version of me that looked better—
but a woman I trust, respect, and truly like. That was more than fifteen years ago. Today, I live an active, healthy, and joyful lifestyle—and I use my experience to help others who want to change their unhealthy lifestyle habits.
I understand what it feels like to:
Be dismissed by the healthcare system
Feel stuck, overwhelmed, and alone
Believe it’s too late to change
Lose yourself completely
And I also know what it takes to come back.
And 15 years later… I’ve maintained it.
My approach is different because it’s built on:
Real-life transformation, not theory
Sustainable change, not short-term results
Body, mind, and emotional healing—not just weight loss
Simple, consistent steps that actually work
I don’t hand you a plan and send you on your way.
I walk beside you as you rebuild your health, your mindset, and your life—step by step.
Because This Isn’t About Weight Loss
It’s about: Finding yourself again.Trusting yourself again, & creating a life that actually feels good to live.
My passion today is to help those who are going through difficult changes, emotional pain, numbness, and staying in unhealthy habits , environments and relationships.
We often find ourselves overgiving, neglecting our needs, and developing unhealthy coping habits, I was there, I know the pain and frustration. I found a way out and you can too.
I created Simplee Wellness out of my belief, that healing doesn’t happen in isolation, it happens in movement, in nature, and in a connected community.
We deserve to be happy, healthy and living a life full of joy, love and adventure.
